This Regulation respects the fundamental rights and observes the principles recognised in particular by the CharterThe Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. In particular, this Regulation seeks to ensure full respect for the protection of personal data and for the right to seek international protection, and to promote the application of Articles 8 and 18 of the CharterThe Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. This Regulation should therefore be applied accordingly.
