It is appropriate that national supervisory authorities established in accordance with monitor the lawfulness of the processing of personal data by the Member States, while the European Data Protection Supervisor, established by , monitors the activities of the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies in relation to the processing of personal data carried out in the application of this Regulation. Those supervisory authorities and the European Data Protection Supervisor should cooperate with each other in the monitoring of the processing of personal data, including in the context of the Coordinated Supervision Committee established within the framework of the European Data Protection Board.
