The European Border and Coast Guard Agency, established by of the European Parliament and of the Council (22), supports Member States in their efforts to better manage the external borders and control illegal immigration. The European Union Agency for Asylum, established by of the European Parliament and of the Council (23), provides operational and technical assistance to Member States. Consequently, authorised users of those agencies, as well as of other agencies acting in the field of Justice and Home Affairs, should be provided with access to the central repository if such access is relevant for the implementation of their tasks in line with relevant data protection safeguards.
