Eurodac Regulation:
Article 45 – Supervision by the European Data Protection Supervisor

1. The European Data Protection Supervisor shall ensure that all the personal data processing activities concerning Eurodac, in particular by eu-LISAEuropean Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, are carried out in accordance with Regulations (EU) 2018/1725EUDPR and with this Regulation.

2. The European Data Protection Supervisor shall ensure that an audit of eu-LISAEuropean Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice’s personal data processing activities is carried out in accordance with international auditing standards at least every three years. A report of such audits shall be sent to the European Parliament, to the Council, to the Commission, to eu-LISAEuropean Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, and to the national supervisory authorities. eu-LISAEuropean Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice shall be given an opportunity to make comments before the report is adopted.
